i never come to terms

with the world of rock'n'roll

it's risky and it's rough

and it smells lika alcohol

can' t get my head around

all the aspects of the sound

but i keep holding on to

the treasures that i've found

in retrospect i cling

to the songs we used to sing

to all the little thrills

and the joy that they would bring

then i can' t figure out

why they throw the baby out

i' ll never come to terms

with the world surrounding this

but there are times in life

when ignorance is bliss

their idea of maturing

is tedious and boring

i' m not a keen subscriber

i' m labelled a backslider

the world of rock'n'rolling

appears to be appauling

but nuggets in the wash pan

has made me such a huge fan
