Fotnot : The use of name Scarlet
and Crimson in connection of sin
in the verse of Isaiah 1:18 is only
meant to be suggestive of a stain-
ing,with blood ( as indicated 3
verses before in Isaiah 1:15)
representing the results of sin
through acts such as murder,
causing the murderer`s hands
to became red with the victims
blood.

It is contrasted with a state of
purity or holiness characterized
as being as white as snow.
