Here I am
but who am I
next to, or by your side
in this illusive life
in which I stand
and
I stand so humbled
before the dawning in your eyes
wondering whatever path to sway
under which disguise
shall I hide away today
knowing I did all my best; at least I tried
to break a smile
tell me, my amour
is not more or mere undying love
a curse rather than a cure?
Here I am
and here I make my stand
though I feel as confounded
as the rivered lines in my hand
crowned by the test of time
yet as little as a grain of sand
in an endless oceans’ rising tide
coiled through the hopeless tunnels of despair
where floating dreams - like music
ripples through the air
let me drown your pain, enfold your sorrow
forget me not, forget me not, come tomorrow
oh love, surely you know -
wherever you go, I come to follow
Here I am
wide awake yet beautifully dreaming
though seemingly we fade, and I
I close the light and float away
into your loving arms again
through the vivid waves of time
over sea and sky and land
in broken mist a hope a sign
someone reaching for my hand
over there I swear I hear
the singing in a serenade from a-yonder
carried in the echoing winds riddled chime
we'll be together again
somewhere
someway
sometime
Here I am
and here I wander
through broken dreams and stars eternity
alone so still
or together forever?
my eclipsed heart's unchained - set free
into the awe of unknown wonder
walks now a shepherd of the moon and sleeping sea
come to me, come to me
take my hand
before I stride
loneliness, my bride
