Georgia (Sonet)

****
Not only the hills of Georgia in the haze,
But also piquant food and richest wine-cellars,
In every common house one can taste and gaze,
Not less, then carboys with some hundreds liters.
Come back with me to my beloved and jolly earth,
Just take a look at this fantastic bath of sunrise-sunset
At sea. To my regret my feeling has its roots in death
And birth: my parentsgrand there once had met.
As well as they had stayed forever in this sainted land.
All is connected in the world and all exists on whole.
For many years I tried this thought to understand,
In fine I found an ancestor’s country in my soul.
Let’s go ahead, my enemy, my friend, my lover,
I’ve a duty to myself, this little country to discover.
