Windmills, cog wheels of my minds
turning turning all the time
spinning tales convincingly
subjectively
what happens here is seen through me
interpreted through reasoning
emotional conditioning
A veil between the world and me
the Self and objectivity
The outside holds an influence
the inner takes a precedence
the otherness they speak about
I sense within, I sense without
inside myself I’m incomplete
I validate myself through you
a fallible and sensuous two
a mirror and adversary
an ally and a kin
from outside and within
for we can meet and share and be
but something always separates
the you from me
