Hollowed heart, through thorns embark
where beasts roam to steal those pure
in ocean thought creatures lurk in dark
maliciously stumbling fore;

For truth sold for worth
and trust given flight
sights beheld of hardship
as safety shift for strife;

Thus embraced for now
sickly dreams of daemons
through starless forced to carry -
depression's voice of reason;

For an eden uncaring
the work of sinners at art
the maiden brought to marry
the path of carrion's stalk.
