Even the mountain seems sad to be here.

Diealogue

Perched atop the mountain two colossi could be seen in the distance; one standing tall, the other shivering and small.
It's striking how something so great can seem so frail and soft, even as nothing more than a silhouette and a shadow.

One of the perils of being truly great is the risk of crushing yourself.

"Here I am again" said the small one. "Back in this place you call reality, in a world that never changes and never forgets”.

A moment of silence takes place, disturbed only by distant murmurs over the horizon and a growing wind.

"I know" said the tall one. "You never left, no matter how much you wish that wasn't true".

As the rain starts falling the titan slumps even further down, being dragged to the ground by some invisible force.

Sometimes it feels really good to be in pain.

"The storm is coming" the small one quietly mutters. "Just as I wake back up the sun leaves me to fester in darkness".

"It's been a long time coming" the tall one replied. "The world is not happy, and has now decided to take matters into its own hands".

One of the hallmarks of a titan is having their head in the clouds and feet on the ground.
They get to experience everything the mortals do, but forever see the world above.
They have human hearts and the childish jealousy that accompanies it,
yet they have seen far too much to not be aware of the greater.

It's dark now. Dark, cold, windy, and drab. Even the mountain seems sad to be here.

"I cant do this anymore" the small one sobs, tears streaming down their face. "I have nothing left in me, and nothing ahead that can pull me back up".

"I just want it to stop".

Thunder makes itself known, for a second bathing the world in light.
Not a warm, loving, light but rather cold and angry.
We see the colossuses faces for the first time.

The tall one is crying too.

"That's not what you want" the tall one calmly states. "You just want to rest; to not have to carry your own weight and have your mind to yourself again".

"You are human after all, never forget that".

Silence continues against the background of the raging storm.

Everything is anger for a moment.

"All things come to an end. That's how we get beginnings"
