Magical Brownies enchant and delight
I sit in the Autumn darkness
and regard my life
sometimes I have been insightful
and other times I have been extremely
naive

I have made mistakes of various magnitudes
which I regret
I have been in love
when I have actually been just randy
two at one stroke

I have achieved miracles with fewer resources
and have corrected numerous errors
without having stolen the limelight
it is a better way
I thought once upon a time

and the karmic rush that comes
when eternity smiles and forgives in a heartbeat,
yes, you get a heavenly hug

I never thought seriously about stock markets
or financial bonds and the like
they are so grey
and make for a dismal everyday life
that is, so proper

Kabbalah on a shoestring
you could say
I have lived
to return to the Light
of course we experience the captivation
along the road
back to the source where everything comes
to an end

and perhaps rekindles
this life of ours
between light and hues
fire and dance

Magic Brownies which stimulate the romance of passion
coconut, chocolate and Macadamia nuts
mild silky hearth
and ten champagne cork stoppers which shoot
wildly towards the ceiling on command

at the window rain is heard in beads
gently beating
back to the Tree of Life in sugar, flour, eggs and cream
which stands on the table in flickering candlelight
sparklers decorate at every station and scintillate

later
three times the nymphs do the belly dance in Yeminite style
happy people in happy clothes
dance a little sometimes even slow
and warm their hands by the open stove

then give their thanks and best wishes to me their host
and visit each other to drink tea -- and for some -- seductive
pillow fights with real feathers will ensue
as they take over and defeat the small hours of the morning
and the bleak (gloomy) weather

but all in all
leaving Los Angeles
became a celebration
of distinctive character
