She had seen how Hope stood there on the railing and then went into a fragile balance act, just before the wind caught. Like the balancing act hadn't been enough to handle.
She wondered for a long time how Hope could have been so brave. she who did not even dare to stand on a chair without getting dizzy.
Hope did not seem to be able to feel fear and maybe that was what made her fall over and over.
That day when the wind came with the cold she even smiled knowing she wouldn't make it this time either.
Despite the sun hidden in her lion mane she was only a shadow but sometimes Hope entered and made her think maybe it would be different this time, Hope was proven wrong so many times she forgotten to count them all.
She just wished to leave everything including Hope who couldn’t even stand because of the hard wind.
She now once again looked at the night sky.
darkness so black that it could devour everything,
and yet the stars twinkled so that she was almost dazzled.
She was always alone among them.
Never alone without them.
And the sky blacker than the darkest abyss,
shone in the clearest way this evening.
Gratefully she kissed the stars that showed her the only thing she could trust,
