A princess she is
with ribbons in her hair
and a smile on her face.

The forest is her kingdom
the wild birds her folks.
The wildness is her playground
and time is her teacher.

Her gentle touch
the goodness in her heart
cares for all the living.

The strength in her eyes
will give protection
she uses all the power
inherited from the mother.

Her mother is whispering
guidelines and directions
waiting for the day
when it’s time to take back

What her Mother Nature
