My Alligator & I

Sometimes I lose things
and then I get sad.
But that's ok,
I don't get mad.
I got a roof over my head.
I sleep in a bed.

And
my alligator is so friendly,
I pet her ever so gently.

I just turned forty
and maybe I should worry.
Or so says Kirk,
because I lost my work
at the airport.
When I built a fort
out of suitcases
in front of those gaping faces.
Now I have to eat dirt
with grass for dessert.

My alligator,
she is so hungry,
we got no money.
So tomorrow
I'll go looking for a job,
or somebody to rob.

En dikt med stor portion humor! Det uppskattas!
En tanke slog mig; man ska nog inte ha en alligator om man inte har råd att mata den….
