as for "fighting dragons", there is science to support this. back in the middle ages, to make ONE set of stainless steel armour, costed as much as a whole kingdom. they didnt go further, but it obviously means a kingdom made armour for a knight to fight a dragon. they originally rode on unicorns since they were the only ones in inverse polarity holiness. over time though through breeding they removed the unicorns horn and is the horse of today, which made them easier to control by amateurs that knew nothing about animal lore, that werent pure of heart. if you look up images of horses, many of them have a white spot where the horn used to be. the reason no horns are found by archaeologists is because it was milled down and used as an aphrodisiac. they still do it to rhinosauruses to this day.
