What am I?
What am I?
A soul searching another soul
Pouring out my inner me
Into thy presence I come
A memory is our meeting.
You went on your journey
Leaving me behind
With all the questions.
Were you searching a mate
And I was searching my soul
reflected in you?
What use was I to you?
I hear the last of your voice
I felt I had no choice
Cutting the fragile strings
That played the music of wings
I think of you daily
You will never know
I think of what could have been
But it was merely a dream
Well, I guess I also searched a mate
And drowned in your soul
I was content drinking friendship
But the ship has sailed
I prayed in Celestial room
The answer was strange
It is up to you
What answer is that?
Maybe I prayed to early
Maybe even the birds needs to rest
Before leaving the nest
But it is not up to me
I have to forget and go on
And keep singing the beautiful song
Of dreams and hope and rest
I wish you dear the very best
