Selfish politicians
When selfish people grips the power
with hearts cold as the twilight hour
The hope of the world starts to fade
by the weight of false promises made
The voices raised but not in plea
only to serve their own decree
When men of greed claims to rule
to gain with selfish deeds so cruel
The World slows down and oceans rise
as truths are lost in web of lies
The hope once strong begins to die
when young ones laughs becomes sighs
Once politicians seeked to serve
now the world is their own reserve
For power is their fleeting prize,
And human cost, a sad disguise.
Though among men a whisper grows
a need for change time to overthrow
Even in darkness hope can thrive
good spirits may still be alive
So lets rise up and take a stand
make wrong right and mend the land
For when selfish pricks lose their hold
a better world can rise its told
