The Swedish Midsummer
The Swedes emerges with flowered hair
and raises maypoles bright and bold
The summer solstice a nordic affair
is a special time with a special hold
With its maypole a symbol of Life
embraced with flowers true galore
A time of plenty a time of rife
celebrating life through shared lore
As traditions leads and paves its way
with fiddlers and dances of the past
we rejoice and joins children at play
laughs at the frog song having a blast
Then as the songs turns into silence
we eat herrings and drinks our snaps
Afterwards the legends shall commence
even though the old may prefere naps
At meadows of life where daisies room
women gather 7 flowers climbing fences
Their stories awaits where Life bloom
dreams of future love through 7 senses
The Midsummer is both calm and wild
experiences unique folklores and tales
Unites the old with their inner child
For past for tomorrow always prevails
