100 Romanians will be sent to the Guantanamo Bay,”

I dag i Sverige.

/Thanks for sharing that link, Diana. The post appears to be a Facebook entry from the page In Familie, linking to an article with a sensational headline claiming that “100 Romanians will be sent to the toughest prison in the world, Guantanamo Bay,” allegedly under an order from the Trump administration.

This type of headline often signals misinformation or clickbait. The linked article is hosted on a site called , which has previously shared exaggerated or fabricated stories under its "Monden" (tabloid) section. There's no credible reporting from trusted international or governmental sources to confirm such a claim—especially one involving such a serious international and diplomatic issue.

If you're exploring this from a media literacy perspective or examining how narratives are shaped online, this could be a compelling example of how fear and shock are used to drive clicks and engagement.

Would you like help dissecting how such headlines work rhetorically, or are you tracking how Romanian identity or migration issues are represented in media? Your angle will help shape how deeply we dig.
