a dodo of black foam in a vibrational frequency
dissolves in the wind into wave motions of color,
colors brushing through the wind like a
shimmering band, atoms from the dodo in blue
and violet bands stretch across the fields, I stand at the
edge and observe the phenomenon with
a cigarette in my mouth

the dodos stand scattered across the wide
fields, and one by one they dissolve,
disintegrate into these fine shimmering bands
of color - like wave motions flowing through
the wind in rhythmic undulations

it’s quite beautiful
the rest of the landscape is gray and barren
no one’s been out here in years
the ketamine makes the horizon
slightly more beautiful—
like an extraterrestrial frequency of tangerine
or a symphonic phenomenon dissolved
into an intense spectrum of ghost-fire
