The men who once stood tall
Where are the men who once stood tall
not for fame or glory but to serve us all
With weathered hands and face of past
their guidance we did hope should last
Their dignity carried truth no lies
selfishness they did truly despise
That´s why they marched through war
not for glory just to help to do more
They held the line and paid the price
not to gain for a better world to rise
That is why they spoke with true care
cause they wanted greatness everywhere
They cleared all debts kept their word
their way is a rulemodel today unheard
Because they mourned and wept alone
for dust of fallen brothers once bone
The men who spoke truth where are they
who refused to take a knee and obey
When darkness rose and demanded wrong
they who stood up maybe few but strong
We need you to stand strong once more
sorry but the world needs your roar
You need to handle jackasses of today
throw all dickheads in charge far away
