The runes are carved and connected to actual physical objects with a set of powers make them usable as a weapon of raw energy.

I know more about the Greys than I can tell you. Some of them are very intelligent and they are on the side of The Gods. If one would search for the reason why they got a bad reputation from our foes, then there you have it.

Yes, the Greys try to protect themselves, as well as the people they are in contact with, by doing that "displacement" of time. As does all "nature beings". I've met and travelled with them in the flesh a few times and they are a bit quirky, but most certainly good beings from my standpoint.
