What is love?
They say it’s a feeling
but feelings change.
They say love is passion,
attention,
someone staying as long as it’s easy.
But that kind of love disappears
the moment it costs something.
The Bible says love is patient.
So I look at Jesus
waiting,
listening,
never rushing broken people to be better
before He stayed.
Love is Jesus touching lepers
when everyone else stepped back.
Love is eating with sinners
without asking them to pretend first.
Love is truth spoken gently
and grace given freely.
Love is the cross.
Not romantic.
Not soft.
Just steady.
Choosing sacrifice
when walking away would’ve hurt less.
Jesus didn’t love from a distance.
He stepped into the mess,
into the pain,
into our humanity.
So if love is kind,
then love looks like forgiveness.
If love keeps no record of wrongs,
then love looks like mercy.
If love never fails,
then love looks like Jesus.
Love isn’t just something you feel.
It’s someone you follow.
And His name
is Jesus.
