We all carry dragons

We all carry dragons. Malevolent, vindictive beings that are exempt from empathy, regarding our wealth and life-expectancy. The creatures roam free in our mind, flying from one emotion to another. When they cry, you cry, when they hate, you hate. When they make a sudden move you can only follow. The reality is based upon lesser choices than you started of with, the only difference is that you are now alone.

Its a shame that we are not as aware of their presence as we could be, as practice in emotional control is pretty much non-existing in Europa's health and care system (even though in some context they are growing). Either you name them traumas, syndrome or depression, it doesn't change the fact that sometimes you are up for an up-hill battle. And its quite the fear, that without emotional practice we cant take these dragons on.

How do you reach for a sword when there is none? Or does your strive alone determine the hopelessness of your situation? I guess the question is, how do you answer to your inner dragons plead when the time comes?
