inside I hid
air conditioned
and sipped
giant cold drinks of lemonade
with shaved ice
that saved my afternoons
then as the day wore on
drinking green bottles
of Boone's Farm Apple Wine
the price was right
and the buzz was slight
listening, swaying
to Santana's tunes
in a trance
falling for their
exotic romance
until the evening brought
on shots of Tequila with
salt and lemon wedges
then out to the desert
with Roxanne to
watch the show
in the heavens...
