shots #2.4 film with no end 2 [16 stones for steve reich]
as i was walking to work; i came across this woman standing perfectly still by a pile of stones; 16 stones to be exact. it looked like a belltower - sort of - and the woman just stood there; perfectly still staring @ something; i dunno something i stopped & stood by her side for a long while - staring @ something - i dunno i just dunno something & as i stood there; perfectly still by her side - staring @; i dunno something - an abstraction of a city - my own lost soul - i heard these sharp; clicking noises mixed w; deep groans almost like someone in great pain
it took me a while: to realize it was the woman standing perfectly still by my side speaking to me? in no language i had ever; heard before - regardless of this; after a while i understood ev’ry word she said
& she said: it’s gonna rain today - it’s gonna rain gonna rain to day to day
to day it’s gonna rain gonna rain gonna rain today it’s gonna gonna to day
gonna rain gonna to day it’s gonna rain today to day it’s gonna rain to day
just as suddenly as she had begun
she stopped and i went on my way
who was she?
was she even really there?
fifty paces later i stopped for a
coffeetogo and when i
coffeetogo came back out it
started to rain and it
started to rain it
started to rain and it
started
to
rain
