I don’t remember words

I only write them

I’m not a man of wisdom

I’m just the kind of man

I want my son to be.

I don’t recall all people

I only meet them

and save what’s worth to save

and maybe I will write it down

but mostly, I will not.

I don’t collect all pictures

I only see them

I haven’t seen all views

but those I’ve seen

I do recall

and want my son to see.
