There's something soothing about silent tears.

The way that they trace their way down your cheeks and surprise you with their changing pace. The way that they magically cool down your hot skin, or warm up your cold one, as they trickle towards your longing lips. The way that they wet down, soften and garnish those lips with salt once finally reached.

There's something soothing about knowing that silent tears are honest tears, tears meant only for yourself, tears that tell you you have had the privilege to feel - that after all the impossibly unbearable things you have experienced you are a beautifully emotional being.

I suppose that's what the sweet aftertaste of those silent tears is trying to convey. And if you ask me again what superpower I would most like to possess if I could choose freely, I would tell you I have listened to the silence of my tears and found that I am happy just keeping my capacity to feel.
