Observing the starry sky
always from this vantage point,
my feet gravity-grounded
in this planet,
I desire change; exchange
of angle;
to view this three- and four-dimensional
galaxy
from elsewhere;
to circle the Milky Way;
estimating its inner workings
from all directions

I think I've earned this
by staying vigilant
all these years

let me ride my ch'i
boundlessly
