Bodyshop

I headed to a bodyshop,
was feeling like a wreck,
had hit a brick wall stop,
but, hey now, what the heck!

They told me I was very wrong, and had misunderstood,
and that they really couldn't fix what was under my hood,
with pain in my side, bad notions in my toe,
give me directions or a ride, please tell me where to go!

I've got no shaman, found no sorcerer of pain,
not under my breath, or under my stable rein,
just got this hill of pills all inside my hand,
to take me safely to the painless land

But then; a pressure weighs across my chest,
it's Gunwald Cat who's come to me to rest
Perchance the felician solution
to my recurring bodily confusion?

With his warm body up on top
I've got no need for the bodyshop
I hear his silent breathing sound,
and my wound up is winding down

He's a bodhisattva who floats across my mind,
he's Avalokiteshvara, compassionate and kind,
he's Kuan-yin, with answers to it all;
says ”sometimes you are small, and then again, you're rising tall”

Says: ”Take no heed of the fountain of thoughts,
forget all the musts, take no note of the oughts
This is but the passing of this life's guise,
it's just about time to wake up and rise
Life's piling up, weighed down with years
Leave them dissolve into space, have no fears
You think that you are, be that as it may,
everything is afar, don't be swayed, it's okay”

But this enlightenment, imagined, seems all in vain,
for as soon as I move, body whispers of pain
As soon as I rise from the bed where I've lain
truth appears full of lies, sunshine pregnant with rain
