Dying is grave as well

and indeterminacy seems to rule

out east the Dalai sits on a stool

diverges and splits right down the middle
Some become soft and others stiffer
Some play the accordion, others the fiddle

Some fly on high,
while others dig deep,
some soar and fly
in dream state sleep

I keep the secrets that I desired,
from morning till' mid afternoon
My head is certainly gallantly wired
from Chanukah till' the August moon

Can't recall anything from my infancy
till' the time I could handle a spoon
I can't expect any downright clemency
now, or any time soon

My spirit feels strong and sturdy
At Saimaa I hear the loon loom
I play kantele and hurdy-gurdy
In the Cosmos there's plenty of room

I scribble pointless lines of verse
till' I find better things to do
I praise in the morning, or maybe I curse,
then study Basho and Winnie the Pooh
