Song for my love

I was resting neath her flowerbed
with the joy of ever knowing
words recited in my head
To keep the flowers growing
her gentle tears my garden plough
with a touch of flames and thunder
a haunting kiss our wedding vow
that left my soul to plunder

Her theft was mine and freely so
I yield and I gave her
my heart for in her soil to grow
To nurture into splendor
She drew the words though none I spoke
from my lips they fell and rippled
retracting lovers heavy yoke
and fear of death belittled

an inkling of hope this mortal quest
to unite what's ripped asunder
shielded in love I gently rest
and leave my mind to wander
