[vers]
The journey's been long, not an easy game
You win and you loose, but there's no one to blame
The sailor he turns to the sea and the skies
Waitin' for the moon and the stars to rise
[vers]
The grief and the joy they are not what they seem
His life has become like a floating dream
Every thought in his mind is aimed at the goal
When the day slowly fades from his soul
[chorus]
The shadows are fallin', he's been sailin' all day
And the winds of the night they are here to stay
The sailor he knows the harbor is near
When the light shines bright from the pier
[vers]
Afar he can hear the church bells ring
And waiting friends songs of joy will bring
At last he arrives on that beautiful shore
Known by his name when he knocks at the door
[chorus]
The shadows are fallin', he's been sailin' all day
And the winds of the night they are here to stay
The sailor he knows the harbor is near
When the light shines bright from the pier
