Gaza’s tale (Empir)

Gaza’s strange thoughts
from darkness strains
form a foam-flecked smile
as a bush fan he roll desires
surge with a donkey

But behind them
are other far shores
a cross brown beach punkah
and with my clear hand
upon oblivion
I sink these billows

Gaza’s bracken gums
my head stretch
Westward plains unmoving
and coming strange
smell his million sweats
driver of a stockman’s silver caravan

Gaza’s fires visioned
away into The land
plies somehow
my hot skill
and all magic pause

”Oh gaze upon beauty!
We reach the Southern shore!”

There Gaza’s mile filled out
beneath his shed country
a night’s golden scent
my eyes see more desire
hear sleep whip sands away

Where ever the burning
winging fades as horses clasp
from crackling hide while clad
in the very sand
see sheep through sharp down hills
until the ringing mile sings
to ancient stars

”Homeward my beautiful team!
mind over delicious desert
and close the vision
feel my sound watch
over seas
and through laugh chortle
but above love
the end.”
