First Date

At the restaurant
she's dressed according to etiquette
and he is strangled by a tie and a belt
is trying to prevent his belly
from falling overboard.

He pulls out the chair for her
and then he seats
a smile infront of her.

She's about her forties,
her hair is girlish twintailed
like horse reins.
He laughs at that simile.

She smiles at him
as if they've heard a joke.

Food, beverage and dessert are served

After nutritional intake
he asks her: Your place?
She nods and he leans over the table
and gives her a blushing kiss.

He calls the waiter for the bill
while she picks up the napkin
and wipes off the wine and his kiss
from her lipstick.

She looks at the bar,
the beers, chewing of gums
to hide a smokers' breath
and enhance the taste of kisses.

The bartender yawns,
glasses clink, people,
who have nowhere else to go
as she has.
