Around fifteen years ago I lived in this big building that was intended for exchange students from all over the world. On the second floor, where I lived, there were mostly medical students from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Anyway, it was a very small and cheap room. Some slept two or three in their rooms and during the one and a half year I rented there it was almost always infested with bed bugs. The reason I set my foot in there was that I did my research for "experiences" in several ways and looked out for anything I might need to understand more. I've never been around muslims so it was a bit interesting. These are a bit "higher class" than most muslims, so generally speaking no real problems did occur there.
What I want to focus on is a few "religious interpretations":
I recall some of the guys saying that Islam is growing and that even whites are converting. I just laughed. I told them that there are very few converts even if they had their examples. More interestingly is that when muslims move here their children will often lose their faith, so Islam is in reality spreading, but like christianity, is losing large numbers of followers mostly to "atheism".
One night in the shared kitchen one guy confronted me as being a non-believer and while showing the cabinets and floor in there as proof of "god".
He asked; "Who made this?" , while looking as smart as he could.
Too comical.
On a more serious and offensive note two guys were gleeful about a terrorist attack in Stockholm and with shining eyes thought he was a tough hero. I just laughed out loud. The terrorist muppet in question had slightly injured two people and managed to blow himself to pieces. It was hilarious. And sad, very sad, of course...
That's all for now.
