Writing, with its content of a searching and a growing, keeps many alive. (This was also true of me in several of my younger years.)

Just being able to communicate words with others and be at least somewhat understood is a comfort and a small exercise of power. Being able to speak to the point in quiet calm is often a relative rarity to get down in the superficial everyday small conversations about this and that where no major issues are involved.

Writing seeks understanding, justice, a corroboration of our own and others' "sufficiency", as well as our good will to give life something.
