Most older, real, "pagan practices" are known on the surface and rarely understood in the passive mainstream. We have forgeries of reality and our history, so it's a complex issue.
One of the most debated practices are the different forms of sacrifice where someone is taken up to another world earlier. Delusional people don't understand the reasoning and goodness of this and it's often seen as despicable.
The sacred sacrifices are separated and saved from their physical form. The burials of loved ones when the wives, horses, material goods, are following in the first death up to a higher life is of course very real.
Human sacrifices as practiced by pagans is releasing the soul from its flesh and bringing it up to the higher worlds. It is the exact opposite of anything "primitive" or evil. It's saving lives out of love.
Those that are afraid of realities of the other worlds and to change their lives accordingly should take note of this before it's too late: We don't do any of this just for fun.
The Gods are our blood, our history, the cultural roots of humanity and beyond out in the cosmos/Yggdrasil. It is all that we are and can become. Pretending that reality hardly matters is suicidal insanity.
