But it aint a simple one

Did the gods play roulette
At the time of my birth
Spinning my soul around
To find a body to match

And would a second more
Of lasting speed
Have given my body
To another soul in waiting

Was I just a slot
On a giant wheel
With a designated number
And predestined color

That in that very moment
With the ball flying around
Was struck by lady fortuna
And destined for this life
