i blame the blood sugar level

i always get away with that

i´m such a shrewd little rebel

and such a clever copy cat

i blame this old diabetes

and sometimes i am accurate

i´ve added too much of the sweetness

it got me overweight and fat

but when it comes to girls and women

i lack a suitable excuse

so i quote good old new york johnny

he sang that he was born to lose

an area where i´m less successful

where i´m expected to resign

time won´t stand still, it makes life stressful

and jeopardizes the decline

they say i´m talented and gifted

because i write good poetry

i guess they´re sort of spirit lifted

when they read something signed by me

so far, so good - this is an asset

i´d be a lot more satisfied

if i could pull girls like a magnet

i sit and dream as tears subside...
