Ivory Towers

As I pass your ivory towers
I see a light that reminds me of sorrows
I thought I\'d forgot
Was I childish and dumb?
I thought I was lonley
But you stood right behind me
I would bend just like the trees
In the wind, it blew away my head
How could I have done
You so very sad?
I\'ll pay for this for the rest of my life

And you\'re dark like the nightskies
Late in december
Black like the angles
Who cut out their eyes
You try to see me
But I\'m like the wind
When you try to move me
I\'m like the water that flows

I would cry all trough the night
But my heart, it was already broken
How could I have been
So very dumb?
I\'ll pay for this for the rest of my life

And you\'re dark like the nightskies
Late in december
Black like the angles
Who cut out their eyes
You try to see me
But I\'m like the wind
When you try to move me
I\'m like the water that flows

Lite bittert, men uttrycker ändå en längtan efter något bättre.
