In a dim and distant fairy land, up in the cold dark north
December time is ticking, towards the 24th
Kids are singing "deck the halls", deep in the starry night
waiting for the jingle bells, and for the reindeers flight

They know that Santa's warming up, his crew for christmas eve
they also know that dreams com true, if you just believe...
In all the magic that surrounds the holiday of peace
and every little light that shines, around the christmas trees

All the kids across the land, are waiting for the sound
of runners as they split the sky, when Santa's coming 'round
Soon their hopes will be fulfilled, it's been a long long year
now at last the time has come, to sing a christmas cheer

Behold, the giant sleigh is here, stuffed with lots of toys!
come gather round the fire place, and let us all rejoice
It truly is a joy to see, the children as they play
If they had their will, then christmas time would never go away

Santa Claus is pressed for time, his schedule is so tight
Lapland is so very big, but he will get it right
Rudolf and his reindeer team, are on a hectic tour
Their mission is a joyful one, thus easy to endure

And so once more in our time, the holy night has passed
the only down side may well be, it all goes by so fast
let's hope the world makes one more turn, before it goes to waste
let's hope we still have time to stop, our self destructive haste
