Uppfostrade med sagor som alla är lögn.

So I guess fairytales never ought to come true

All through our childhood we are fed with the most delicate fairytales with tiny silver spoons. Out of spoken and written words springs stories about a distant world, playing with our rich imagination. Using it to paint the most perfect world and play the most splendid music only played on the blissful kind of keys.

And that is how we live our lifes. We rise in age and experience but keep our feet on our steady foundation made out of childhood dreams, fairytales and spun sugar. There are times when life it self gives us a good punch in the face and puts us on our knees. Yet we get up on our feet and struggle on, with our storybook strapped to our heart and the vision that it is all going to be all right.

But one day you stop. You hearken to what is beyond and what floats around you in life. You start to feel the pain life has given you. Suddenly the punch in the face turns into a sucker punch in the midriff and while gasping for air you try to get a grip of life.

It is then, in that very moment, you understand what fairytales really are. The world around you start to spin when you realize that fairytales are nothing but spun sugar that embed your mind. Nothing but false expectations given to the mortals through a crystal glass.
