The last summer breeze

On a warm, summerdays dawn, the horizon stretches far and wide
Her words were soft, as gently as they can be
But now they are gone, as they forever will be

The lonelyness falls on me like heavy rain
Soakes me in despair, why was it not it me

The sun shined so bright, the wind ran through your hair
A sight that'll never be seen again,
You walked down the road, to our outlyin home
The birds sang happily, a feeling forever lost

It was a special day, tomorrow we would be bound
But someone took you away from me
He waited in the forest, for you to walk by
The blade was waiting, thirsty as one can be

The moment came, there was no single doubt
The blade punktured right through your lung
You were left by the road to face the dark embrace
Death was slowly creeping in, soon I was to be left alone

The time went by, and you never came home
In worry I went out to search
It didn't take long to find you, you were almost home
I screamed to the top of my lungs, crying out loud
I held you in my arms, begged for you not to be gone

Now I lack the strength to go on
a bottle of whiskey and a gun will be my salvation
Soon I'll be with you my love
soon,I'll to be gone

This is the end, I feel no regret
I put my hand on the gun, and placed the gun to my head
With the finger on the trigger, I closed my eyes
A last single thought of you, that warm summer day
