She taught me how
to swim
and gave my life
a new beginning
She helped repair some
long time wrongs
and at times of trial
she let me know
I still belonged
This morning
I learned that she is gone
A sweet soul has crossed
to the other side
A woman of valour,
strength and power
has left us and now joined
the angels' chorus
May her voice be clear and on a
steady course
From all bodily restraints
may she now be released
And may she sail on
home in peace
