Skyward Keep

I Found the Skyward Keep

I climbed where no path dared to go
Through cloud wrapped peaks and ice below
The wind sang tales in a forgotten tongue
Of stars that wept and bells once rung

Then through the fog, a light did gleam
Not dream, but more than any dream
A city carved in stone, calm and sun
With towers gold and gardens spun

The Skyward Keep, they call it that
Where time moves soft and seasons slow
Its gates are guarded not by hollow men
But whispers of truth lost from way back when

The air is laced with lovvley lilac rain
And music hums through windowpanes
No maps recall this hidden land
No mortal really dares to understand

There courage has a truthful name
Love is in a breath for all, the lions mane
Trust is in for keep, integrity runs deep
Embrace is kind in hope for those who weep

The stars here blink a very different way
The moon forgets to fade to day
I saw the kindest owl with silver eyes
And books that breathed beneath the
skies.

I cannot say how long I stayed
An hour? A year? It slipped away
But now I walk the wonders of the world
With Skyward’s silence in my mind to stay

So if you find a path grown steep
Follow the wind. It knows the keep
But tell no soul what you have found
For some dreams die when shared aloud
