writing about phish to Dido's song Don't Leave Home
It's summer-time. Gaurav has that t-shirt on with Calvin and Hobbes ''We'll see summer come again''. I knew all along it was a Grateful Dead t-shirt. And I am listening to Dido, the song ''Don't leave home''. This was her breakthrough cd ''Life for rent''. It came out in the '90s; subsequently music started to suck around the millenium shift. I saw, as far as population, the largest 1999-2000 millenium concert. Phish in Florida. Makes sense. They usually don't play there. So they played there. At a Seminole native indian reservation. I actually bought a cd there regarding one of the local native indian tribes. Don't know if I ever listened to it. By the nitrous tank I liked going in the woods; don't remember if I did any of the nitrous, and taking pictures of nature. All this at the 2-3 day Phish festival that is. I was getting estranged at even this time, and it all started with my father. In any regards, I didn't smoke any green stuff the whole festival. I was ''off'' it during that time. I met a guy, that wrote in my little notebook, ''I love you man'', who was from the University of Miami, and we talked among other things about running back Edgerrin James who attended that university. He said the guy with his buddies would pull upp in some big car bouncing with heavy rap music - or something like that. Edgerrin James went on being a star in the NFL for the Indianapolis Colts for that matter. Anyways, this guy wrote in my notebook ''I love you man'', and American guys may not have self-esteem, but are not cocky. And well, in America there is more of that, in general, brotherly love, being many have foundations as Christians, and probably green stuff smokers. Drug use does kill your self-esteem so do looking up to endless stars in Hollywood, and well, American guys are more sensitive, on a general level. Florida State, another university, has the nickname the Seminoles, a native indian group. And I forget where I was going with this, other than the Phish festival was at the ''Big Cypress'', that was the name of it, ...at least, the Big Cypress. Hey folks I have to dig up my Big Cypress ticket and take a picture of it, and attach to this!
