How is it that we let another being in so close to our soul,
that it can cause a flaming pain and leave a burning hole?

That this being can actually tear our soul apart,
as though it had hit a bullseye with its dart.

The more incredible is the way we heal,
as if two innocent angels had made a deal.

From the very first feeling that we want to die,
yet all we get is time, and still somehow we get by.

So is it foolish to call us naiv or even dumb,
after heartbreak and feeling completly numb.

When we infact dont hesitate to let the next being in,
setting ourselfs up for yet another tearing.
