we´re all rugged sailors
along this rugged coast
and each storm leaves a mark in our hearts
we hold on to our God
and the ones we love the most
He´s our shield against the firey darts

we will reach our harbour
in the promised land
and it makes this world lose its appeal
there´s a solid anchor
and it´s reaching in
to the heavenlies beyond the veil

red sails in the sunrise
and in the sunset too
red sails under rain clouds
and when the sky is blue
red like the colour
of the blood that sets us free
blood shed on the rugged cross
on the hill of calvary

we´re all rugged sailors
it´s not a luxury cruise
not a dinner party
where you are amused
it´s a constant combat
it´s a raging fight
survival means navigation
and to remain in light
