MODERN WORLD

it was a modern world

and london was burning

we made mistakes

but we were learning

it was pure mania

we sprayed it on the walls

we didn´t mind the bollocks

it was only rock´n´roll

a rocket to russia

took us up and away

we were frustrated

and we wanted to play

music for pleasure

and living for kicks

records and tapes

were my only fix

a lot has changed

and i guess so have we

i feel the urge to move on

and stay free

i left the streets

but they never left me

i love the place

where my boots

ought to be

  Mästaren och Margarinet
These streets are made for walking,
even though our shoes are worn out,
the tarmac can be a mirror
a reflection of where we're at.

I keep on walking,
although my feet are too numb to step
my eyes are blurred
by all the things I've seen
but still,
there is headway
to be made.
