A longing

Have I done all I was suppose to have done, seen it all?
A rape of life with monster claws,
I can not dream I lay in soil.
Once I touched the uncut grass
and smelled the autumn bloom.
I grasp it all for a moment, two.
It has slipped away with grace.
A dream unspoild by waking thoughts,
please wait for me, no more.
It seemed forever, now and then. A leaf falls tenfold fast.
The firmest grip slipped away
and nothing could be done, I say.
And as in vain I reach for more,
a shadow past a drowning sun.
Wolfs don't whisper. I howl in pain.
Come dance with me, dance again.
