i' ll be here for a while

just a week, maybe two

i' m a visitor, just passing by

don' t expect me to be

like the heroes you see

i remain what i am. high and dry

come the first morning light

i'll be back on the road

by the sweet break of dawn i' ll be gone

and i' m carrying my cross

while i' m praising my Lord

for the great victory He has won

there's a journey ahead

maybe hardships and trials

for this world is a rough hunting ground

but as tears may subside

there will also be smiles

since i' m no longer lost, i've been found

as i keep digging deep

in the darkness inside

heaven's light's shining brighter each day

as the filth piles up high

and as time passes by

i get closer to home anyway
