Predicated on the assumption
that love will triumph
I sally forth into the new day
a scarf around my neck warms
from the chill wind
and a leaf of poetry in my sack
slung across my back
for protection
guards from the ill winds
I begin to glance
around me as
I'm once again at the beginning
of romance
